“Having a person who looks like me and understands me has brought energy and confidence to my life again. Connecting with a professional of a similar background to mine and who can relate to me and my situation has made me want to work towards making sure no other female immigrant feels the discomfort and discrimination that I felt. It’s a major confidence boost and motivator to be connected to a successful professional who I can relate to and who is a visible role model for me because if they can do it, I can, too! That constant reminder I now have drives me to be successful in my future career and in life.”
