Founder and Executive Director Hetal Jani is Featured in Philanthropy Journal!

On March 22, 2022, Philanthropy Journal posed an article highlighting SPEAKHIRE’s Founder and Executive Director Hetal Jani titled “Try Again Next Year.”

In it, Hetal Jani detailed the challenges of managing a non-profit. The work she and SPEAKHIRE does is invaluable towards students from immigrant and/or struggling families. SPEAKHIRE helps to cultivate our youth’s potential while providing cultural and social-emotional support to develop tomorrow’s leaders.

However, many important non-profits like SPEAKHIRE all suffer from the same problem: a lack of funding. This makes it difficult to plan ahead, and makes every unexpected obstacle all the more dangerous.

As Hetal Jani said, “We need for funders to believe in us. To take the time to really understand the work we are doing, and to commit to supporting that work.”
